After that last post, this might seem a bit of a weird pic to post, but I love this image.

Over the last few years I have become less and less excited about doing commissions of characters for OPP( other people's properties) basically because I feel constrained by expectations of the person purchasing the commission to do a piece that is "Iconic." Therefore I feel like they haven't been as inventive or interesting as I would like to see them be. I always want to keep pushing ahead into uncharted or interesting territory. So I think from now on, if I do a commission for a character or piece II'm going to try to push it to another limit, not do the expected and try to see what I can get away with. If that's not your game, you might not like what I'm doing, but I'm going to be throwing some of these up on here to see what people think.

Here is the Link to a religious tract Fred Van Lente and I made in 2000 for HP Lovecrafts' Cthulhu Mythos. I love this thing, it keeps popping up back into my life off the internet. Have fun reading it! Share with your friends and remember, Cthulhu is watching!

Love the lean but powerful look lionesses have!

Of course, I think we all know lions are a little useless without their lionesses...

Lions are so powerful, regal, and full of varying textures--awesome sketch subjects!

Sketching animals is really important to my work, especially when thinking about new ways to build my own animals!
